Last week, Helldivers 2, the recently launched co-op shooter developed by Arrowhead Studios, claimed the top spot as the best-selling title on Steam. The game, released on February 8th, quickly became PlayStation’s most successful launch on Steam, with over one million units sold and a peak concurrent player count of 196,089 users, according to Steam DB.
Counter-Strike 2, from Valve, made a notable return to the charts, climbing to the second position from fifth place after being absent from the top rankings for several weeks. PUBG: Battlegrounds experienced a significant jump from ninth to third place week-on-week following an update on February 6th.
Palworld, which consistently held the top spot since its release, dropped to fourth place as initial excitement around the pocket monster adventure subsided. Dota 2 returned to the Top Ten, landing in fifth place, boosted by the Year of the Dragon update introducing Lunar New Year-themed cosmetics to the MOBA.
Activision’s Call of Duty re-entered the Top Ten in the sixth position, benefiting from a 30% price reduction on Modern Warfare 3. Apex Legends, a free-to-play battle royale, returned to the charts at No. 7 after being ranked 21st the previous week.
Valve’s Steam Deck hardware experienced a decline, dropping from sixth to eighth place week-on-week. However, it still outperformed Granblue Fantasy: Relink, which fell seven positions to No. 9. The Top Ten was rounded off by Enshrouded from Keen Games, which descended from fourth place.
